Impuesto a las Transmisiones Patrimoniales (ITP) – transfer tax when buying or selling property, typically 2% of cadastral value paid by both buyer and seller.
Capital Gains Tax – applied when selling property at a profit, about 12% on the gain.
Wealth Tax – for individuals with high-value assets in Uruguay, progressive rates of roughly 0.7%–2.8% above certain thresholds.
Inheritance and Gift Tax. Uruguay does not impose inheritance or gift taxes.
